Who we are

This website is FeederKeep, at https://feederkeep.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are sent by email and stored in the site’s database so they can be answered. They’re used only to reply to you, aren’t added to any mailing list, and aren’t sold or shared. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time.

Comments

Comments are currently turned off. If they’re turned on later, the data shown in the comment form, your IP address and browser user agent will be collected to help detect spam.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

FeederKeep uses, or may use, Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are read, how people arrive, and which outbound links are clicked. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects information like your approximate location, device, browser and pages visited. This data is reported in aggregate and isn’t used to identify you personally. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate links and cookies

Some links on this site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon (Amazon Associates program) and to Birdfy and other merchants through the Impact affiliate network. When you click one, the merchant or network may set a cookie in your browser so that a purchase can be credited to FeederKeep. Those cookies are set by the merchant or network, not by this site, and are governed by their own privacy policies (for example, Amazon’s privacy notice and Impact’s privacy policy). See the Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles may include embedded content (for example videos or images). Embedded content behaves the same way as if you visited the other website directly, and that site may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with it.

Security and site cookies

The site’s hosting and security tools may log IP addresses to block attacks such as repeated failed logins. Visitors who don’t log in don’t receive WordPress login cookies.

How long data is kept

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them and handle any follow-up. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask for an export of the personal data this site holds about you, or ask for it to be deleted. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights. Use the contact form to make a request.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site changes, for example when new tools are added. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
